    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

    1. What does RecallVerse do?

RecallVerse helps you remember your contacts and the context around them. You can:

    • Save contacts and notes
    • Record short voice memos that are transcribed into text
    • Use AI to search your contacts with natural language like:
      • "Who did I meet last week that works in AI policy?"
      • "Who in my contacts might help with fundraising?"

    2. Does RecallVerse store my audio recordings?

    No.

When you record a voice note, the audio is temporarily processed to create a text transcription, and then the audio is discarded. RecallVerse only stores the transcribed text, not the original audio file.

    3. Is my data secure?

Yes. RecallVerse is built on Google Firebase and Google Cloud, with:

    • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
    • Encryption at rest
    • Strict access rules so each user can only access their own data
    • AI processing done on secure backend servers only

For more details, see our Security page.

    4. Can anyone at RecallVerse see my contacts?

Your data is isolated per account and is not visible to other users.

Limited, controlled access may be used by our engineering team only for debugging or legal/compliance reasons, and always under strict safeguards. We do not sell or share your data for advertising.

    5. How does the AI use my data?

AI features (summaries, recall, search) work by sending limited text to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini).

    We:

    • Only send what's needed to perform the feature you requested
    • Do not send your account credentials
    • Do not store your audio
    • Do not allow providers to train their models on your data

For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

    6. I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

    On the login screen:

    1. Tap "Forgot password?"
    2. Enter the email you used to sign up
    3. Follow the password reset link sent to your inbox

If you signed up with Google or Apple, use the same provider again instead of a password.

    7. How do I delete my account and data?

If you'd like to delete your account:

    1. Open the app and go to Settings
    2. Tap Delete Account (or Manage Account)
    3. Confirm deletion

If you can't access the app, email support@recallverse.io from the email address linked to your account and request deletion. We'll guide you through verification and remove your data.

    8. How do I export my data?

To request an export of your contacts and notes, email us at: support@recallverse.io with the subject line "Data Export Request".

We'll verify your identity and provide an export in a commonly used format (such as CSV or JSON).

    9. I'm being charged but don't see my subscription.

    If you purchased through:

    • Apple App Store – check your Apple ID subscriptions under Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
    • Google Play Store – check your Google Play subscriptions

Billing and refunds are handled by Apple or Google directly. If you still need help, contact us with a screenshot of the charge and we'll assist.

    10. The app isn't working properly. What should I try first?

    Try these steps:

    1. Make sure you're on the latest version of the app (update from the App Store)
    2. Force close the app and reopen it
    3. Check your internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data)
    4. Log out and log back in
    5. Restart your device

If the issue continues, email support@recallverse.io with:

    • Your device model
    • OS version (iOS/Android)
    • App version (from Settings → About)
    • A short description of what happened (screenshots help)
